Steven Heller is an American art director, journalist, critic, author and editor who specializes in topics relating to graphic design.
He has many accolades as a designer, and still lives today.
Here are the first three rough ideas that I came up with. I knew that I wanted to play around with something to do with the Times typeface. I also was playing with the idea of using the unique shape of his glasses, along with negative space.
This is the final mock up poster for an exhibition with the famous Steven Heller. I incorporated all of the required information confined to the space that outlines the "T" in his famous Times typeface. He was the man credited for creating it. I played around with the text size and shape to help create its form. I also used color to help create a sense of hierarchy within the text.
